Drain Problems in Kirribilli

Josh yawn as he tried to make himself stay awake. He was purposely attempting to stay up, for a movie, but he didn’t know whether he’s eyes would stay open long enough. He’d been planning, all week, to watch this sci-fi thriller but was having thoughts on whether he should hire it on DVD instead.

He had waited too long now so decided to get up from the couch and have a cup of coffee, to revive himself. He was on his way to the kitchen when he noticed a peculiar smell, being emitted from the laundry. He hadn’t noticed it previously, so he decided to check it out. He turned on the light and entered the room. The smell was overpowering and he tried to locate the source of it. It seemed to be at its worse near the floor drain. “Urgh, something must be down there,” he concluded. He soon found that he couldn’t take much more of the odour so he had to exit the room.

He continued to the kitchen to think about an action plan. There was no way he was going to go fishing for anything down there so he decided to call in a plumber to investigate the blocked drain. After the movie, he felt that he had just enough left in him, to search for a plumber in Kirribilli. He searched for plumbers using an internet search engine and came across a few. He wrote down the number of the company that looked the best for his needs. He liked the promises they made and saw that they were available in his area as well as Milsons Point, North Sydney, Mcmahons Point, Lavender Bay, Cremorne Point, Neutral bay and Waverton. Josh then laid his head down on his pillow for some well earned shut eye.

The next morning, Josh was awakened by the horrible smell. It seemed to have intensified overnight, which reminded him to call the number, he had written down. He spoke to a helpful person about the suspicious smell and was thrilled to hear that a plumber should arrive at his Kirribilli highset within the hour to look at the blocked sewer.

As promised, a plumbing vehicle arrived shortly before the hour was up. He headed up the stairs and Josh met him at the door. The guy was friendly and asked how he could help. Josh felt bad about the smell but the plumber handled it with complete professionalism. Josh found it difficult to remain near the laundry so he left to another part of the house.

A short time passed and Josh noticed that the smell had vanished. He decided to see how the plumber was progressing and saw that he had packed away all of his equipment. He informed Josh that the smell was, in fact, from a block drain and that he had come across many similar situations before. Josh felt relieved to hear those words. He sincerely thanked him for freeing his home of the odour and paid him the reasonable quote.
