A Plumbing Disaster in Kirribilli

Michelle stood at the doorway of the fridge and took advantage of the cool air exiting from inside. She searched up and down for something that ticked her fancy. “Ah, this will do,” she said, as she reached for a bottle of orange juice. It was another warm day in Kirribilli and Michelle was particularly noticing the change in season.

She sat down at the kitchen table, while she thirstily finished off the last drop. There were still many jobs that needed to be completed, around the house, but the heat was making her weary. She ran through the list she had made and decided to do the dishes first. She placed her glass on the side of the sink, while she ran the water, to fill the basin. Suddenly, she heard a strange noise and water started to pour out on to her feet from under the sink. Michelle shrieked with fright. She jumped out of the way, as her heart pounded in her chest. Water still continued to flood across the floor as she came to grips with what was happening. “Something must have burst!” She realised, and ran outside to switch of the main water supply.

When she returned inside, she sat down to gather her thoughts and catch her breath. She laid her head in her hands and thought about what to do. The potential for serious water damage, made her quickly decide that an emergency plumber would be required. It was just a matter of finding one in Kirribilli.

Michelle remembered her friend mentioning something about a plumber, they had used, so she gave her a call. Luckily her friend answered right away and was happy to pass on their details. She also let her know that they provided emergency plumbing assistance in their area all the way to Milsons Point, North Sydney, Mcmahons Point, Lavender Bay, Cremorne Point, Neutral bay and Waverton. Michelle thanked her friend and held the number in her hands. She hoped that they were still taking calls, as she pressed the buttons.

Michelle felt immense relief when she heard a voice pick up. She expressed her joy to the person and they replied that they always ensured that their calls were answered. Michelle briefed her on her plumbing emergency and discovered that an emergency plumber would be immediately on his way. After hearing this, she felt like a huge weight had been lifted from her shoulders.

Fifteen minutes passed then she saw an unfamiliar car pull into the driveway. She caught sight of the company logo on the side and was thrilled to see that the plumber had arrived already. “Thank goodness,” she said to herself. The emergency plumber smiled and introduced himself to her. She noticed that he was very courteous and removed his shoes before entering. She directed him to the plumbing disaster and asked what his thoughts were. He assured her that he would have her plumbing back in order, in no time.

Michelle then got to work, cleaning up her flooded kitchen. As she mopped, she asked him various plumbing questions and he was very happy to assist her in them.

Not long after, the plumber informed her that the burst pipe had been repaired. Lucky there hadn’t been any extensive damage done so had escaped relatively unscathed. However, she realised that it could have been a lot worse if she had waited longer.
