Hot Water Problems in Kirribilli

Sara laughed at the cake smeared all over her daughter’s face. They were currently celebrating her third birthday and she was holding a party, at her house, in honour of it. Many of her friends, from her preschool, had turned up to play and enjoy the treats.

She had organised a fairy party and everything was decorated in pink and purple. The table was adorned with cupcakes, popcorn and biscuits. Just the type of party she would have wanted when she was a kid.

Sara was delivering a tray of savoury food, for the parents, when one of the mums tapped her on the shoulder. She looked puzzled and Sara asked how she could help. Joanne enquired if there was any trick to getting their tap to run cold water. Sara thought that her tap was like any other tap so was perplexed by the question. Joanne went on to say that she couldn’t get any cold water to come out.
Sara decided to see for herself and turned the tap towards cold. Sure enough the water was very warm and, in no way, cold. “That’s very odd,” she said. She must have a problem with the hot water heater.

After the guests had finally left she was still bothered by the hot water temperature mystery. In the end, she decided to call a plumber about it. She wasn’t aware of any plumbers in Kirribilli so she thought it would be best to look in the Kirribilli local newspaper. She looked up the business classifieds at the back of the paper and searched for plumbers. She read down the page and read the descriptions of each of them. She chose one company that provided a satisfaction guarantee and quote price. She had heard about nasty surprises from other plumbers so this provided her with reassurance. She continued reading and noticed that they operated within Kirribilli but also helped out the residents in Milsons Point, North Sydney, Mcmahons Point, Lavender Bay, Cremorne Point, Neutral bay and Waverton.

Sara was amazed when the customer service rep informed her that a plumbing professional would be able to pay her a visit that day. She was expecting the wait to take days.

She was in the middle of cleaning up streamers and balloons, when she heard her door bell chime. “Mummy, a man is at the door,” yelled her daughter. Sara made her way to the front and was greeted by a happy gentleman. He introduced himself as the plumber, she had called upon. Sara noticed that he had a warm personality and was very polite. He asked her to show him to the hot water system. “Yes, I see,” he said and confirmed that there was definitely something wrong with the hot water system. “Leave it to me, I’ll figure it out,” he said with confidence.

Half an hour later, the plumber found Sara, still cleaning, and let her know that he had fixed the hot water heater problem. He explained the issue and also went into how he reversed it. Sara was very pleased with the plumber’s efforts and instantly knew that she would contact him again, for any other dilemmas.
